The Best Teams in FIFA 16

10. Atlético Madrid 

This marks the first year we included Atlético Madrid on a top 10 list, largely because of Fernando Torres playing up front and Jackson Martinez’s all-around game.  Martinez excels at bullying defenders and expertly sending crosses to Torres, who responds with impressive shots on goal. We expect Madrid to cause some damage against the imposing Spanish La Liga, so choose this club with confidence. 

9. Juventus F.C. 

The popular Italian club lacks elite strikers, but Juventus makes up for this in other areas, primarily in the defense and midfield. Center Paul Pogba has the uncanny ability to score whenever he wants over the midfield line, while defensive midfielder Sami Khedira, center back Giorgio Chiellini and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon produce quality performances with each game. Few teams in FIFA 16 are as stacked as Manchester City. Its captain, Yaya Touré, locks down the midfield. Meanwhile, superstar David Silva (with a crazy rating of 90), easily breaks free in search of open space. You will also see Kevin De Bruyne in the midfield, and Kun Agüero slips through the tightest defense. Basically, you can’t go wrong with Man City. 

3. FC Barcelona 

The NBA’s Miami Heat benefitted from a big three, and the same can be said of FC Barcelona. Except instead of LeBron, D. Wade and Chris Bosh, it’s Neymar, Messi and Suarez. These guys helped the club capture the Champions League. Oh yeah, and you also have arguably the greatest premier possession player in midfielder Andrés Iniesta. Combine this offensive juggernaut with quality defense, and losing with FC Barcelona means you only have yourself to blame. 

2. FC Bayern Munich

One can make the argument that FC Bayern Munich is the most balanced team in FIFA 16, wrecking havoc in the competitive Bundesliga. Thomas Müller and Arturo Vidal anchor the finest defense, while wingers Frank Ribery, Arjen Robben and Robert Lewendowski give you plenty of options to score. Throw in the best goalie in football, Manuel Neuer, and you’ll be almost unstoppable. We say almost because you are human, after all.

Superstar players take over games at will. Such is the case with Real Madrid, thanks to icons like Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo. This dynamic duo bring incredible ball handling, speed and finishing to the mix. On top of that, striker Kareem Benzema rarely misses the goal, and World Cup standout James Rodríguez zigzags across the midfield. Throw in names like Ramos, Marcelo and Modric, and you can win handily. Of course, your opponent will probably roll his or her eyes after seeing you pick the best team in FIFA 16.
